01 Jun A Sneak Peak at June’s High Point Market, Just for You!
The High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point, North Carolina every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers can be found in at this market twice a year because if you can’t find it at High Point… it probably doesn’t exist.
Our style team at National Drapery have poured over the June’s preview guide, to bring you a sneak peak of our favourite featured textile houses:
Bunakara is an ancestral Hindu word that means “weaver”. Bunakara “weaves” for you unique collections with a specific sense of place and purpose, in which poor and rich materials are combined with respect for tradition. Joana Aranha, soul of Bunakara and head of creation, always goes back as far as possible in search for inspirational elements in a dialog between her European soul and ancient civilizations worldwide to create textiles that cannot be found anywhere else.
Established in 1918, Kravet is a fifth generation family business focusing on fabrics, furniture and wall covering fashions. The Kravet family’s commitment to innovation has helped the company transform from a small fabric house to a global leader in the production of high-end, luxurious fabrics. Chic patters create both lively and whimsical prints that work with both in-door and out-door spaces. Classic, eye-catching wallpapers, upholstery projects and drapery designs with Kravet always create relevant, modern statements customized for your design vision – who could say no to that?
One of our other favourites at this year’s show, Regal Fabrics Inc. is a converter of woven textile goods, primarily for furniture. Using exclusive relationships with weaving mills that work with their in-house design team, Regal creates copyright-protected patterns and unique fabric constructions, with a special focus on timeless, hard-wearing furniture fabrics. Regal’s outstanding collection of products offer exceptional values in beautiful body cloth fabrics for sofas, plus an extensive collection of “jewellery” fabrics, providing design and colour for chairs, pillows and other applications.
